Everybody has been anxious at some time and it doesn’t matter how relaxed you are before you are going to present a speech or before facing an exam or an interview? We have all felt the effects of anxiety at some stage of our lives, we all know too well the shivers that assail us or the trembling and the sweats that we get before we have to face something that makes us shake inside.

The object of this article is to give you differing ideas on how to liberate yourself from these same feelings and to combat this affliction that many of us have trouble with from time to time. It will give you good insight into the different ways in which you can control this, and that you can utilize anywhere without embarrassing yourself. You will not be told to meditate on the floor or anything like that, and you will not be asked to chant anything at all. So please read on…

In looking at calming yourself down, which is really a wrong terminology, we actually calm up.

To calm yourself you really need to integrate yourself with your surrounding and move mentally inwards to obtain a steadying affect, so please don’t try to disconnect yourself from your environment, you need to embrace it.

The Chair Press-up

This is very handy if you are waiting to deliver a speech or if you’re slightly nervous in a group environment. Simply locate your hands on the edge of your chair. Maybe there are no arms? Then simply place them on the seat. Make sure you brace yourself, now, inhale deeply and push upwards with your hands and feet as you exhale. Lock your arms at this phase and allow your torso to hang by your arms for just a moment as you finish exhaling…. drawn-out and deeply. Then go limp, but stay in the locked up position. Then simply sit back, you will feel limp as a noodle and everything is great.

The Way You Breath

This is a crucial part of calming yourself, and the recommendation here is to look into the Eastern styles of breathing techniques with the use of the diaphragm; this is a powerful muscle and should be used more. You should breathe in easily and powerfully through your nose and expand your diaphragm. You should be breathing into your stomach here and not your chest. Then, blow it out powerfully and steadily through your mouth. Do this a few times. You will be able to feel the tenseness departing your body as you do this.

Spreading Your Legs

This may not seem like an important one but it does have quite sincere subconscious worth. When we are relaxed (and particularly men) we tend to spread our legs and take up much more room. By allowing yourself to spread your legs and either sitting or standing you will occupy more space, and this is what we do when we are comfortable in a particular environment. Try and allow the state of comfort to follow on from this.

Try Slouching Slightly

We all know that slouching is bad for posture and this activity won’t affect you as you will only be doing it for a short time. People do tend to slouch more when they are at ease and relaxed and this is something you can try next time you are up tight. Just by allowing yourself to slouch slightly your muscles will tend to release and this will give you some relief from the tensed feeling that you have. The feeling will follow the action as you allow your head to recline and you let yourself slouch into the chair.

Your Power Hands

When you observe powerful people you will usually notice that they are calm people, often relaxed and very comfortable in what they do, you will also learn that they do a couple of things with their hands, either the hands behind the head or stippling their hands. To make a steeple simply place your elbows on a table and spire your hands before your face, similar to the bad guy in the movies that is thinking and plotting. Place yourself in his position and realize that you are going to come out on top and that you are in control as you plan and devise in your head. Just think of the actions that you are putting into place and that everything is going to work out fine. Maybe you are in the corporate world and need a slightly different look, so you recline back in your chair and place your hands behind your head, and intertwine your fingers. This is the posture that the boss will most likely take when they talk to their workers, this alone will make you feel very relaxed and on top of things.

Anchoring

This is a very compelling psychological tool to utilize and can have great benefit towards the lessening of anxiety. Certain actions and stimuli all have an anchoring effect on our minds and these can trigger certain responses and feelings. These same anchoring effects are to be used everywhere and are the main reason behind many of the potent psychological triggers and anchors that are used in everyday life. Perhaps you might be at a wedding and a certain song will be playing, maybe hearing this same song at a later date will make you start crying and this affection event was the wedding and the song was the anchor to this wonderful occasion and this triggered your emotions. And when you hear the song again you think of the time you heard it before and thus your emotions are triggered.

Or, say you become ill from eating or drinking something and the moment you smell this again you start to feel ill again, the emotional event behind this is getting sick and the anchor is the drink or food itself. Hence smelling this is what made you sick in the first place and is what could make you very sick once again. So we have anchors everywhere in life and are in both positive and negative emotions and to control these you have to calm yourself, and develop a specified anchor to relate to being calm. And every time you use this you must reinforce the anchor. The anchor I use is my palm down on my thigh and every time I calm myself for whatever reason I place my hand on my thigh once again to reinforce the anchor. So therefore each time I need to be calm I place my hand on my thigh and then I release the trigger and then calm down; this is simply recreating the feeling that is tied to the anchor, which in case is relaxation. So, do this whenever you are relaxed and when you do necessitate becoming relaxed and this will help to place you in that same mental state.

What to Do With Internal Dialogue

To control the internal dialogue you really do need to kill it, and there is one good way to achieve this. If you find that you are talking yourself into a worrisome attribute, maybe while someone is talking you may be worried about something, start to do this straight away. Un-focus your eyes, and allow your peripheral vision to open up. Look directly at two regions ahead of you and slightly to each side. Maintain your conscious thoughts into this area and then draw your gaze from both points and allow them to meet at 45 degree angles as they meet in the higher area of your vision. And then bring your stare down and allow it to be directly in the front of your vision (maybe somebody’s face if they are talking). Now focus your gaze and imagine it coming straight back to yourself and come back with your consciousness to your own mind. This will increase the focus and will also allow you to perform this simple exercise at any time and will deflect the inner dialogue that plagues you.

Centering Yourself

At times you may feel an anxiety across your whole body and you may be particularly self conscious about an area of your body i.e., hands feet etc, and this exercise is particularly great for distracting these obtrusive thoughts. So, to begin with, close your eyes and inhale deeply a few times, and make them come in through the nose and out your mouth. Put your tongue directly against the back of your upper teeth and on your front pallet, this will induce cross lobe integration and further relax you and your brain. Visualize a point that is far ahead of you and transmit your thoughts there, allow yourself to become fully relaxed and continue to breath, allow your thoughts to stay there and you will soon forget all those obtrusive thoughts that only a little while ago had you in fits of worrisome anxiety. And when you are relaxed begin to slowly and carefully to bring the point of your focus in front of you nearer and allow yourself to return to that fully aware state.

The only thing constant in life is change. Every morning we wake up from bed, we aren’t the same individuals as we were yesterday. Innumerable dead cells in our body are replaced with the new ones everyday. If looked at it biologically, we become new every now and then. In spite of all that, we sometimes resist changes in our daily life. Change is just another reality of life. It is something that bridges the old with the new. The significant question is not that if things will change or not, it is whether they change for better or worse and how do we play our part in it.

Many individuals have to face the grim reality of being out of control with their lives. They believe that they’re puppets in the hands of circumstances, instead of being in control of the circumstances. It’s high time that you grab the drivers’ seat of your life and get behind the steering wheel to go where you always wanted to. Putting it correctly as the great Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be The Change That You Want To See”

The primary step on your journey towards change must be the setting of goals. You would never go on a holiday with your family without any preparations. You’d always plan ahead, select the destination, the accommodation, the sites that you may like to visit etc. etc. Changes can happen in the spur of a moment and if you are unprepared you might feel overwhelmed by them. Whenever you are face-to-face with changes, you must ask yourself the honest and important question, Did you achieve all that you have in a day’s time? You’ll discover it might have taken you days, weeks, months and years to be where you are. Yet, we all get immensely impatient when it comes to change. While it may seem encouraging to observe big positive changes happening in ones life, if we look closely, we all experience small positive changes too in our daily lives. It’s all in your mind.

Once you’ve settled on a goal in your life, unless you are blessed with some supernatural abilities, you’ll have to put in efforts to achieve that goal. This is not a passive activity, but very active in nature. The key to victory is persistence. You must take so many actions so regularly that they become a habit.

It may sometimes get difficult to face the fact that we’re the creators of our own situations. We might love to think that we’re the victims of situations and have no control over change, but such thoughts are fuelled by nothing but fear. The fears can range from the fear of failure, the fear of success, the fear of unknown and many others that may paralyze us significantly.

All this doesn’t mean that there is nothing that we can control. Very often, this is an excuse that is given for laziness, thinking that it is very hard to take action. Alternatively, it may also be too scary for an individual to change his/her present situation. One may also feel helpless in making choices and bringing about a change in ones life and circumstances. Life is all about making choices and you must remember, even laziness is a choice that you make.

Once you express your commitment for a goal, you’ll see all such excuses withering away in no time. Let’s take an example of an uneducated woman in an abusive marriage. She may feel helpless to get away as she’s dependent on her partner for her livelihood. She’ll always be afraid of speaking her mind and others will constantly take advantage of that fear. It can be a very precarious situation, however, when she makes a commitment to change her situation and exercise her rights, she may move out of such relationship successfully. Once she becomes self-dependent, she might even relent why hadn’t she acted earlier.

You must always remember that you’re empowered to alter your life. Change may appear difficult, but is certainly not impossible. Once you make up your mind and gather your will power, there is hardly anything that can hinder you from achieving abundant success.

It’s natural that we feel sad, frightened and pained when anything adverse happens to us. But if you look back at history you will see that human beings have always been able to rise to life’s challenges and reach great heights no matter what. It may not always seem so, but these adversities are actually lessons in life. By overcoming the challenges you are learning different lessons and also teaching others life’s many lessons.

Well, wondering what it is you could be teaching anyone? All human beings interact with each other, whether they are right next to you or far away, every person gets affected by everybody else, whether they interact with each other or not.

What you need to consider is if your life was a movie, would the people who came to see it be inspired by my actions in life? What is it I am doing and why do I do it? How can I be someone that other’s will look up to as a guiding light in their lives?

Here is some advice that has served me well and I hope it will help and guide you in times of adversity and also inspire you to help others too

Look at the Bigger Picture

Let your experiences serve to fully awaken you and remind you to be grateful for all that life has given you, especially all the people who share your life. Every step of your journey helps to strengthen you more than you can imagine. Your family and friends have surely noticed your courage and are inspired by it. They will surely reflect upon the influence you have on their own lives. Take time to stop and appreciate the smaller things in life- the power of a warm word or a friendly smile or just the fact that you are surrounded by people who love you. Sometimes it is through others that we learn to appreciate every day and make it count.

Have Faith

Believing in a higher power is a great source of courage to keep going despite the tough moments and to draw on the healing power that is present in the universe. At any given time, there are typically two voices that go on non-stop in your head. Ignoring the voice of fear and choosing the voice of courage will ensure that your prayers will get answered every time. Trust that somebody somewhere is supporting you because faith is strong enough to make anything possible, no matter how impossible it may seem.

Love your friends and family

Love is the power that keeps us all going on with our lives. On days that you want to get away from it all and just shut yourself in a room; instead, take a deep breath and allow those who love you to come in. Miracles can happen to you when you believe in the power of love and know that no matter what happens or what may go wrong any day, you will always have love.

Knowing what your intuition is telling you is a valuable tool on the path of spiritual growth. In recognizing and following your intuition, you can be guided from your Spirit, your Higher Self rather than just your mind.

Your Higher Self sees the big picture of your life and can help you take the shortcuts and choose the best path for you which is a wonderful gift.

But it does take recognizing your intuition in order to be able to use it. Here is how to recognize your intuition:

On this Path, Fear is Not Always Intuition

On the path of manifesting your dream, when you are experiencing fear, it typically means that in that moment you can not see clearly. You are seeing through filters of the past that want to keep you safe, protected from any pain you had experienced in the past.

Fear is most often an illusion that holds you back, rather than an intuitive message telling you not to do something.

In my experience, fear is only showing you that you have reached the boundaries of your comfort zone. This is something to be celebrated as your dreams are always beyond your comfort zone.

Fear does not always have to be walked through, especially if it is a deep or intense fear. It is most often a better to heal it at its source. And in releasing the fear, you can more easily hear your true inner guidance.

Your Intuition is Positive and Encouraging

Your intuition is a positive, encouraging voice and would never motivate you out of fear. I guess in some cases a sinking negative feeling could be your intuition telling you something is wrong or that you need to take physical precaution for your own safety, but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

We’re talking about wanting to create a life that reflects who you really are, that is a joyful experience for you to live and allows you to express who you really are and live abundantly.

And on this path, your intuition will speak in a quiet, positive, encouraging voice or nudge. It speaks softly, so you may have to listen closely to hear it.

Your Intuition Resonates Deep Within You

When you get an intuitive insight or message, you will feel it resonate within you. You are an intuitive person, which means you have the added gift of KNOWING what feels right, rather than needing it to be proved to you through logic.

If you see a book and suddenly feel an energy or a resonance within you, know that this is you feeling your intuition.

When this happens, see if you can find out what your intuition is guiding you to do. Perhaps it’s to open the book and get a message, perhaps it’s to buy the book as it has exactly what you need in it for your next step.

Your Intuition Is Easier to Recognize the More You Use It

Everyone is different and their intuition speaks to them in different ways. So the best way to find out how your intuition works for you is to use it! Test it out on smaller things like “Where should we go for dinner?” or “Which shirt will make me feel more energized today?”

By using it, you will begin to see the results of following your intuition and that is how it will strengthen. When you see where you are led when you follow your intuition and find it is to good results, you will begin to trust yourself and your intuition much more. This will allow it to develop even more!

Intuition is Not Always Black and White

Your intuition operates beyond the logical mind that always thinks in terms of either/or, yes/no. Your intuition recognizes the gray area. It knows that there are infinite choices and paths for you and that there is really no such thing as a wrong choice.

Your intuition is messages from your soul, which may see “both” instead of “A or B”. In this case, asking A or B is irrelevant. So rather than thinking of your intuition as something that will give you a concrete “Yes” or “No”, see it as more of a playful thing that can guide you in a more elusive way.

Release the need for the concrete and give yourself permission to be more playful with it!

Being in a new relationship can lead you into two different roads. One guides you to the “together-forever” road. And the other unfortunately heads down the “heart break boulevard”. Whichever highway you may be headed, make sure that won’t get hit badly. That is why checking road signs is a must! These things will definitely save your heart from further road kill. So check out these 3 tips that will surely make your new relationship get on the right track.

1. Draw the line

Your partner should know your future plans and what kind of relationship you want. Before getting into any relationship, you must bear in mind the things you wish to have. It is important that he/she knows your goals and intentions in a relationship. Discuss with your partner, that you want a relationship that is based on respect, love and affection. Be clear and specific with the things that you like. You need to act on it and choose what is convenient for both of you. Whatever you have decided and agreed on will determine the future you have with that person. If you disagree and fight over it, then chances are you are heading down the “heart break street”. If you are having a hard time resolving this issue, then this is the time to really think twice.

2. Don’t get too intimate

Intimacy has its own place and time; definitely not the place for new relationships. Being intimate is sharing your soul too easily with someone is not a good signal. You have to be consistent and be firm with your convictions. Taking time and enjoying each other’s company will make both of you stronger and not just base your relationship on a physical level of attraction. And besides getting intimate right away will only show your intentions in a relationship. Respect and love should be one of the main foundations of your relationship.

3. Think of your relationship as if it was your last

By doing this, your partner will feel that he/ she is important in your life. And as for you, treating them better is a must thing to do. You have to realize that by changing your mentality from a short term relationship to a long term can change your view and attitude towards your partner. Instead of looking around trying find someone better, make them feel as if she/ he is the most significant person in your life. This is actually a stumbling block in any relationship. Playing around should never be an option. If you want to have a successful relationship, one night stands should be crossed out on your list.

The best advice will always come from couples who are happily married and have survived the storms in their relationships. Getting a handy tip from them can give you guidelines on how to react on situations. Always remember that there is no such thing as perfect relationship. The only time you can say that a relationship is strong, is when you realize that both of you are not perfect and that you are willing to fill in the shortcomings of the other.

You must keep several things in mind in order to keep yourself motivated throughout the day. Following are some important points that help you in a major way to keep yourself alive and kicking all day long:

Workout in the mornings. This is the best way to kick start your day in a positive manner. Invest in a treadmill and hop on to it everyday morning. Early morning workout sessions will not only loosen up your body, but your mind too. Sweating it out early morning gets your body up from sleep and into the work mode for the day to come. Be wary of too much exercise though.

Enjoy a nutritious breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and one gets most of ones energy expended during the day from a breakfast. You must treat your breakfast as the perfect meal for the day. An ideal healthy breakfast meal comprises of energetic food components like carbohydrates and proteins. You must also consume enough of dairy products like milk, cheese etc. during the breakfast time. Fruits and salads can also be a great addition to add on to the roughage.

Get Inspired. What wakes you up? What do you strive for in your life? Is it for your children, your spouse? Do you strive all day long so that you can own that dream car one day? What motivates you? What spurs you into action? What drives you towards excellence? If you have an inspiration that you feel passionately for, you’ll have no trouble pulling yourself out of bed early in the mornings. In case you lack that inspiration, go find one!

Take your tasks step by step. If you aspire for great accomplishments at work, you’ll have to develop the habit of taking things in a step-by-step manner. Neither a building can be erected overnight, nor can one overcome a deadly ailment like cancer in a days time. Someone rightly said that Rome was not built in a day. In order to accomplish great things in life, you have to take on the tasks one by one. It is recommended that you list all your activities on a paper and keep ticking them off as you get through with them.

Compete! In the present day capitalistic society, it is imperative that one gets into the ring and battle out the neck throat competition. This is the only way to savour the riches of life. If you have no competition, go and find some! Look out for individuals who are a notch up than you in terms of skills and abilities. It is only by competing with the best that you can derive the best out of yourself. If you are unable to find anyone competent, compete with yourself. Strive to give better performance as compared to yesterday.

Never allow failures and setbacks to pull you down. Overcome them right away. When you commit mistakes in your daily tasks, do not allow them to overwhelm you into frustration. It is very human to err, else we’d be considered divine. You must treat your mistakes as stepping-stones to help you improve further. A great personality has said that there is nothing unfortunate for a young man than to lead a leisure filled life devoid of any problems or mistakes.

If you work in a very dynamic and busy environment, you can in no way afford to be laid back and dull. You must always keep yourself busy and energized. An empty mind is the home of devils! If you wish to achieve something significant in your life, you must learn to apply these points. They’ll not only help you sprint through your daily tasks but will also help you in keeping yourself in high spirits.

Productive procrastination sounds a bit odd. However, it may very well be possible. Here are several ways on how procrastination can basically turn into accomplishment:

Firstly, recognize and then eventually admit that when you keep on delaying things that must be done it is actually procrastination – take it or leave it.

Secondly, it may be helpful if you ask yourself this question “Will I ever do what I’ve just avoided doing?”

Thirdly, be constantly aware of the actual deadline that seems to be closer as each minute passes by.

Perhaps the only remaining part of this entire process that isn’t remotely fun and exciting is the honesty part – that is, if you enjoy misleading yourself.

What you basically need to do whenever you start a project and don’t feel like completing it right away, you should just immediately transfer your attention from something to “something else.” Interestingly, procrastination will prove to be beneficial in this scenario. Let’s draw up an example. For instance, you really need to work on Project A. However, procrastination set in. Hence, rather than you wasting time thinking of why you just couldn’t bring yourself to be productive, you could just shift your attention to Project B, Project C or even Project D. Eventually, procrastination will produce accomplishments.

Here’s another example. Let’s say you need to go to your office and prepare a report. However, you become lazy and you’d rather think of Friday night football with a good beer instead of the task on hand. Before you totally fall for this temptation, immediately shift your attention to another task – for instance, filing papers, cleaning up cabinets or checking emails. While you may have procrastinated on the report, you will be productive in terms of other errands or tasks.

One thing that you could probably ask yourself in order to “cure” your habit of procrastinating is why you find it difficult to do what you yourself know you must do. Figure out why you have the habit and what you could probably think of as motivation or inspiration for you not to fall into the procrastination trap.

In life, tasks, duties and routines are inevitable. You should really know how to deal with them. Procrastination is something you should handle – hence, it’s better to be a productive procrastinator than a procrastinator who doesn’t produce anything at all.

If you’re interested to lead a more productive, meaningful life, then “segment intending” is what you need to learn. “Segment intending” is the practice and art explained by Abraham Hicks which involves dividing up your day into various segments. You then create a specific intention for that part or segment of the day.

For instance, if you’re out with your friend or if you’re busy doing stuff at work, you should set a specific intention for it. In the case of the former scenario, you could set the intention that you just want to enjoy your day and give yourself the chance to wind down. In the case of the latter, on the other hand, you could set the intention that you just want to set things in motion at work and that you just want to be more creative and productive at the same time, and don’t neglect your working environment.

If you’re interested to follow the practice of “segment intending,” here are a few ways for you to do so:

1. Decide on the length of period for your chosen segment or segments. Since you are still new to this practice, a recommended segment of around fifteen to twenty minutes will do. You can then decide if you want to increase the length of time or not as you continue with your practice. The best thing to remember as well is to choose the exact “begin” and “end” times for your segments.

2. Prepare your segment on times that you know you will not easily be interrupted by anybody or any other outside factor. This is, of course, not easy to do especially if you’re a mother and you have kids to attend to. Still, you should make it a point to find a segment that you know you can assign an “intention” to.

3. Fix your objectives for that particular segment or period of time. While you’re free to attend to other requirements and needs outside of the chosen segments, you really need to focus on them once you begin your practice. For example, you could complete the other errands at home such as returning telephone calls, checking your emails, washing the dishes etc. However, when you begin doing your segments, focus on them intently.

4. Whenever you find yourself distracted, redirect your attention immediately back to the segment and to the respective intention. It is really very easy to get distracted, hence, you must know how to go back and keep your focus. You can do this by starting to train yourself on multi-tasking — doing some of the things you really need to do at a time but somehow doing segment intending at the same time.

5. As soon as you finish a particular segment, permit yourself to go back and ponder. Did you do the segment intending well? Were your objectives met? Was your attention easily distracted? How did you deal with the distraction? These are just some of the key questions that you need to ask yourself.

Based on the aforementioned, it really takes time and practice to perfect segment intending. However, once you get the hang of it, you will, for sure, lead a more productive and creative life.

No man is an island as they say. You alone cannot make your self happy. It does not matter whether you are well off or indigent. Being alone will make your life meaningless. Actually everyone has a job, and that is to satisfy the needs of other people by making them happy and building a relationship with them. You see, if you extend efforts to try and please other people, you will also feel contented. You can also get satisfaction by serving other people. Wealth and other material things can just satisfy you for a while. But true happiness brings joy, peace and contentment even if you have no lavish fortune to prove and show others.

Human beings long for companionship. Our nature is to look for relationships and simply enjoying other people’s company. We’re made to fill each other’s shortcomings because we are not made perfect. It doesn’t matter if you are rich and well-provided. You need other people to co exist and interact with.

Doing things all by yourself is impossible. Just imagine going to the mall and shop alone. Even if you think that it will satisfy you, you will forever need the sense of belongingness and comfort from other people. Success is futile if you don’t have anybody beside you to share it with. That is the reason why we communicate, interact and simply tell our friends and partners how we feel.

Looking for a romantic relationship may take a while. Spending time with them is a first step to get to know the person well. Others are reluctant in meeting new people because of fear of getting hurt. But getting wounded is inevitable. We get offended because we care for them. And if our needs were not met, we try to create a wall trying to shove people away from us. We have to bear in mind that these things and blessings in our life are meant to be shared with someone.

Here are some places where can you meet other people:

Workplace and traveling
Moving to new places and meeting other people from your work place is a great opportunity to make new friends. Socialize and meet new faces. It doesn’t matter if you are single or married; all of us have the need to interact with other people especially if your job requires you to.

Community and your kid’s school
Most adults find friends in their community or neighborhood. Others meet new ones while picking up their kids. So don’t be afraid to mingle.

School
We usually meet our friends at school. But somehow when we graduate we eventually loose contact with them. You have to maintain communication and get in touch with your old friends who know you very well.

You also have to be cautious in choosing your friends. It will take some time to really find a person that you can get along with and who really understands you well. Always remember that the person you will meet today might be same person who will bless you tomorrow.

We are all looking for solutions to our own personal problems and issues. The problem is we are looking too close to the picture, seeing nothing but vague images. The only thing that we need to do is move far so we can find the answer we are looking for. Sometimes by doing so, we get to appreciate and see the whole picture; seeing the flaws and areas that need to improve.

What we don’t know is that most of these problems are just inside our head. The way you think and what is constantly on your head determines positive and negative consequences that can affect your marriage, business, relationships and even your dealings and investments.

Exercise and balanced diet can get you in good shape. Eating the right food is beneficial to your body. Same goes with your mind. You have to free yourself from anything that defiles you, so you can think right, and decide well. Negative thoughts that condemn you will put your confidence down. This will gravely affect your life and hinder you from doing your job and exploring your potentials.

If you feel good about your self and those that surround you, then joy happiness, thankfulness, inner peace and serenity will be seen in you. If you are secured and don’t take offense seriously then forgiving others is so easy. Love should abound our hearts if we want these good things to flow in our lives.

But having bad thoughts and feelings tells us otherwise. This grants us to feel remorse, anger, pain, grudge, anxiety, sadness, jealousy and fear in our hearts that will soon corrupt our minds. We can control our thoughts. There is no one else who can do that but you. Yes, it is hard to actually try to control every thought that comes to our head. But you can start by practicing a thankful and grateful attitude right after you jump from bed. By applying this on your life daily, you will soon learn to appreciate the things and blessings that you have.

With discipline and consistency, your body is set to do impossible things. Medically our brain works precisely the same way with our body. With our emotions working hand in hand with determination, wining this battle is possible. Take time to master these steps. You can’t change overnight. And getting a hold of your feelings and thoughts will take time and perseverance. In due time, you will notice that change is slowly taking place.

Start your morning thinking of only good things because it will bring positive thoughts and emotions. Shove any bad thought that tries to defy your mind. This is a good exercise to instruct your “brain muscle” to respond and react appropriately.

By daily practicing these exercises you will see changes that will benefit you and those people around you. Giving up should never be an option. Remember that we are not perfect and we sometimes fail. But determination to do what is right and keeping yourself from anything that you know will defile you, is the key to maintain a healthy mind.
